Nylon Lead

What's the best type of lead rope?

Is there really a "best type" of lead rope for a horse? I usually use cotton but I found a nylon one that matched my horse's halter perfectly. I've never really heard of there being a "bad type of lead rope" but I'm not sure. Help?

I like the feel of cotton, but most of them are too soft and can break fairly easily if a horse pulls back. Since I handle alot of young and green horses, ropes that break easily are a no-no. I much prefer the soft nylon Lead Ropes, the nice thick ones that are strong, easy to hold and flexible. Don't buy the cheap tacky nylon ropes, they can cause rope burn plus they are so stiff they are difficult to tie. I like my ropes fairly long, too, preferably at least 6 feet in length.
And just as important to me is the type of snap at the end. There are alot of nice ropes with thin, easy to break snaps. If you're ever had a horse that pulls back you know you want to avoid those. I only buy ropes with "bull" snaps, then if a young horse freaks out and pulls the snap won't break and allow him to flip over backwards.
So there are my criteria. Strong, soft nylon, at least 6 feet long with a good bull snap on the end.
