Tack Room

What's a good way to display medals in your room?

I'm re-doing my room and I have a bunch of medals from sports, etc that i would like to display.

Problem is I don't know of a good way to put them so they look nice, i don't want to just tack them to the wall!

Help?!
I was thinking of using one of those rods for hanging curtains?
Only I would use a really thin one

It sounds to me as though you are very proud of your achievements. This suggestion will cost you a few dollars, but if you take them to your local picture framer he or she will be able to mount the medals inside a box frame. You will need to decide what colour mount-board you want. Your picture framer will be able to guide you here if you need help choosing the colour. Ask that hooks and wire be attached so you can hang it on the wall. You will also need a suitable wall hook to hang the finished frame. Your hardware store can help you with this.

We had this done last year with our grandfather's war medals and they look absolutely fabulous.
